Hi, I’m Christina

I’m trying to start a blog. Actually, my dad is setting it up. I tell him stuff I want to share. If we get this figured out, we can share stuff like what we use or do to help me be involved while in my wheelchair.

I like to be a typical kid most of the time. I love being outside. And I really enjoy being involved in whatever is going on. Most of the time I need things and activities adapted for me to use. Dad and I have gotten pretty good at that.

I also don’t see very well. I have CVI. That stands for Cortical Vision Impairment. I use my peripheral vision to see most things. Dad is always reminding me to hold my head up, but having my head down can help me to see sometimes when I look up.

And, it is hard and a lot of work for me to keep my head up. I have low tone in my neck. That means my muscles don’t do what they are supposed to and my head drops. I also have low tone in my torso. So I can’t sit up on my own.

I’ll tell more stuff later.
