Laundry

With all of the sunny days, dad has been hanging the laundry outside. He asks if I want to help, and of course I do.

I hand him the clothes from my wheelchair tray and he hangs them up on the clothesline. When we have big blankets or sheets I help by holding one end while dad gets a clothespin on the other end.

When the clothes are dry, dad takes them off the line and puts them on my wheelchair tray. My job is to take them off the tray and put them in the clothes basket.

Sometimes it gets tough when I grab something that is buried under some of the clothes. I try my best for awhile before asking dad for help.

Dad, the goofball, moved the hammock closer to the clothesline so he can take a break while I am working. I get my revenge when he tries to get up. It is so funny that I can’t help laughing. Dad is not very graceful getting out of the hammock. I like to watch dad and laugh when he struggles. That is a good lesson for him to not take a break when it is time for working.
